10:30am Sunday morning we waited 25 min for a seat. People who had been seated when we walked in still didn't have their food when we were seated. We agreed to sit with another group as there was a line. It took 25 for waitress to take our drink order. 20 min to get our drinks. Another 45 min to get our food. Requests for drink refills took additional 25 min. We requested take home boxes & were ignored for 15 min. Request for the check took another 20 min. Our take home boxes arrived after I paid my bill. It was 3 hours & 20 min before we were able to leave. For almost 30 min.there were no tables within my sight range with food. The sticky bun was dry, flavorless & over cooked. The vegetables in my omlet were cold & crispy & were not spread evenly. Butter on toast was only in the center. Overall an unpleasant experience. The regulars we sat with said it usually wasn't that slow.
Great food and service
It's small, old town, hole in the wall homey atmosphere with great home cooked food. Love the biscuits and gravy! And guess what? You still get 3 pieces of silverware in your napkin!! Prices are really good too! Highly recommend!
Great food, great staff.
Food is good but only 1 waitress. But all in all it is a good place for breakfast.
Best place for breakfast ..Feel like at home. excellent service. fries , delicious egg omelettes, coffee . ... and many more
Was an enjoyable experience had generous portions for breakfast and a friendly staff
Local diner with traditional breakfast items. There can be a decent wait after 9am so get there early and put your name in.
Very nice and cozy corner of town. Also very cheap and the servers are very hospitable.
Great service and food! Kathy and the girls do an amazing job. Worth the wait!
Good experience and food. Server Krystal was excellent; great service, smile, and personality.
Everything about this place was great. Very refreshing after a bad experience at a different cafe down the street. I would recommend this place over any other.
Had a great experience here! Quick service, family oriented. Very inexpensive and the food was great. I will return back to this cafe for breakfast if I am ever in the area again!
Okay, so wandered around downtown St. Joseph and stumbled across this little place. Great staff, friendly, joking and Paige our server asked the kitchen if they could accommodate a food allergy issue. They scrubbed the grill to do so. Fantastic! Food came super quick and the portions were more than sufficient.
Good food at good prices...a small restaurant in downtown St. Joseph with a very friendly wait staff. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.
A great little local breakfast and lunch cafe that has a delightful staff and very fast service with great tasting food.
Hot, great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Nice local hometown place. Good service, quiet place easy to talk. Clean, good food, reasonable prices. Men's restroom was a bit dark but clean and in good condition. Overall a good place for lunch, might try breakfast next time if I get a chance
My server Krystal gave me the best service I have ever had. Krystal is what made this experience wonderful!! The food is also always on point.
Used to be a decent, although greasy little breakfast place. Today, we had to seat ourselves and wait at least 5 minutes before a server came, as no employees were in the dining area. We ordered drinks and waited 10 minutes, and watched as others came through the door and they were served immediately. We ended up walking out.
Pseudo dive, great food.
A great (breakfast) Diner option in St. Joseph.
great home town atmosphere...great food and friendly staff
We have been going here for years. Service is good, even in the summer when it’s packed all morning. Food is always amazing. Hands down the best breakfast in St Joe. Kathy is the owner and she is seriously just the best. Always so kind and helpful. Small town, good comfort food.
Great little cafe. Good food. A little wait for service but they were very busy. Once waited on food came out quickly. Great follow up during meal
Just get the hand grenade it's magic ❤️
Great prices good food except cinnamon roll was a little dry
Being from Chicago, with all that we bought i expected to spend easily $38 on all the snacks & cigarettes but when she said $22 i was definatly satisfied
Friendly wait staff that work as a team. Good food, and fast service.
I love this place in St. Joe's Mi for a quick breakfast.
I LOVE St Joseph, and this restaurant is just what the town needed. St Joe's has nice shops, and a few bar/restaurants. But lacked a breakfast joint. The menu is huge and everyone should be able to find just what they like. Be prepared to wait. It my take a little while, but hang in there, you'll be glad you did!
Great, popular tiny restaurant. Finally made it there for breakfast. Now I understand the line to get in.
Soooo good! My husband is super picky about his biscuits and gravy. He loved it! My eggs and hash wetr awesome!
Very good food and friendly service
Excellent breakfast. Great people.
A little small on the inside so expect to wait. But the wait is worth it.
Very much enjoyed breakfast this morning with my love at this quaint cafe . Had a wonderful breakfast. Everything was very delicious served hot and fresh from the coffee to the gravy to the fresh blueberries and everything in between. Our waitress was excellent...She never let my hot, fresh coffee to hit past the middle of my cup and waited on us professionally and above the bar with courtesy. The cashier was a very sweet, caring individual. She fetched my gloves which fell between the cushion and the back of the seat on the floor. Being handicapped, I couldn't get to them. But down on her hands and knees she went to get them...she also went above and beyond the call of duty!! I highly recommend them. With service and food like this, everyone needs to take a lesson in excellence from this cafe!!
Great little place with really good friendly service. I had the country fried steak and the gravy was definitely home made and delicious. Omelette was tasty and not bland. I would definitely recommend you give it a try and will definitely be back!
Good food, helpful happy staff
Wanted to give the restaurant a try. Honestly, I don't understand all the hype about this place! The place has a certain charm, waitresses were friendly, but the food was not that memorable. The omelets were not that great, vegis were raw. I truely don't get the rave reviews. I wanted to really like it, but I don't know what to say. Definitely understaffed also! My friends and I go to breakfast every Thrusday and enjoy trying different places. Sorry to say, but there are several area restaurants that have much tastier offerings.😳
I have been to this restaurant many times with my service dog last week a police officer commented how well behaved my dog was that he didn't know he was there. To day I was refused service. Every one should not go to this restaurant
Great food! Great service!
First time eating here. Best little breakfast place in St. Joe’s that I have found. The pancakes are huge!!!!! Everything was hot and fresh cooked to order. Will be back again.
Great breakfast spot! Friendly staff and just the right size for a local restaurant patronized by locals. Portions are generous and tasty. Even if you are not a fan of hash brown potatoes, try them. The pancakes and scrambles are wonderful. Can't wait to return .
Fine food, & service!
Under-going a remodel, should be nice.
Great place, great service.. All around fast and the food was great.👍🎊👍
Prices are reasonable, food was great, and service was excellent! Our 7 yr old said the chicken strips were the best he's ever had!
Very nice restaurant. Friendly, awesome staff. Great value. The BEST hash browns.
